TWILIGHT TOWN TRAIN STATION

Blue Link's Home, Loki's Arena

THE MAIN STATION

Rather ironically named by people who have no idea where the station even came from, the 'Central Station' as the sign denotes it is not doing too well as a station. Being located in the middle of the central woods of Ryslig is about the only 'central' thing about it, and being there has taken its toll. While the tower is slightly better off than others, the rooms and tunnels of the building have been subject to the elements for many weeks-leaving all kinds of consequences behind.

From the outside, this is especially evident. The tunnels that would once allow trains to come and go have caved in, blocking them off, and from the outside the earth makes it seem as if the station grew out from the ground itself. Moss covers the top of the roof as a result, and it's likely that extensive repairs will be needed to bring it back to tip-top shape again. Not to mention, it needs a new coat of paint.

With the clock face looking toward where the sun sets however, and its very topmost clock peeking over the trees, no one can deny that it's still a worthwhile location to visit; and they've even got the thing running again, lights and all!

STATION ROOM & TUNNELS

The main focus of the train station is naturally the station room; typically one of the few areas that would have been open to the public, there are three levels in the vast, open room that takes up the majority of the building, and each of them once housed trains. Now, there's only one giant wooden one sitting on the tracks closest to the entrance. The rest of the room is empty tracks, and empty space...perfect for if you need room for a good spar!

The station room is accessed through the main hall and entrance-but taking the second door from the outside leads one down into a series of tunnels that came along with the place. The tunnels are enormous-even the entrance is large enough for someone to drive a motorcycle into it, and while they're relatively simple, it's still somehow easy to get lost down there thanks to the lack of lighting. There are a few glowing mushrooms that more sensitive eyes can pick up, though.

STATION FACILITIES

The facilities of the station are somewhat tricky to access; the only way in is through the ticket booth's staff entrance for the most part, with another section of the building accessible from the first train platform area. Washrooms are the grand exception; standard women's and men's toilets are accessible near the waiting benches, though unfortunately it seems plumbing hasn't properly been installed in all of the sinks and toilets inside.

Coming off of the station platform there's a storage room, as well as a staff room, the latter of which is carpeted in worn shades and seems alarmingly bare without its furnishings. The ticket booth is nicer; the chair is still there, and the railway control booth right beyond it even still has the machines inside (albeit non-functioning). Moving past this room brings one to the stairs for the second floor, where there are offices (including the relatively large Station Master's room, which has windows overlooking the station's trains), and stairwells moving to the clock tower.

CLOCK TOWER

Taking the stairs all the way upward brings one to two locations; the first are the Light Rooms, two small towers where candles or signal beams can be lit to lead the way to those in need. The second, greater one, are the stairs to the Clock Tower.

The Clock Tower stairs spiral up along the walls in a square-formation, leveling out only once the box housing all of the clock mechanisms is reached. From here it is flat until one passes through the clock itself, moving between the entrance to the mechanism chamber, and the larger clock face. The stairs continuing upward will then lead one above the mechanisms, with only a few of them continuing on through a far smaller 'pillar' in the middle of the room. This room, in addition to acting as Blue Link's home, has window access to the clock face's top; it is possible to sit on the ledge and look toward the sunset from here, which is how the tower got its (ironically 'correct') name.

There is a much smaller spiral staircase in the corner of this room to take people to the final chamber of clock mechanisms; here, various cables span across the roof, with a ladder going to a loft of machinery controlling two things-the second, much smaller clock, and the bells which chime at each hour on the dot. The birds that once roosted here have since moved to the chamber below, to say the least.
